We should like to know what the ministry was which archippus had received.
Apphia was probably Philemon's wife and archippus perhaps his son.
A third name is united with those of husband and wife, that of archippus.
A somewhat stern message is sent to archippus in the Colossian letter.
The conclusion, therefore, seems at first sight most natural that archippus too belonged to the Colossian Church.
