Crigler-Najjar syndrome

(krĭglər-näjär′)
n.
  1. An inherited defect in the ability to form bilirubin glucuronide, characterized by familial nonhemolytic jaundice and, in its severe form, by irreversible brain damage that resembles kernicterus.
