hydrometra hy·dro·me·tra (hī'drō-mē'trə)
The accumulation of thin mucus or other watery fluid in the uterus.
hydrometra stagnorum is a black or brown insect, more or less tinged with reddish, and about half an inch long.
The reader may have often seen the hydrometra stagnorum walking by jerks on the surface of the water (Fig. 74).
