hyperkalemic periodic paralysis(hī′pər-kā-lē′mĭk)
- An inherited form of periodic paralysis in which the serum potassium concentration is elevated during attacks. Onset occurs in infancy and condition is marked by frequent but mild attacks with myotonia often present.
