neuromere neu·ro·mere (nur'ə-mēr', nyur'-)
Any of the segments of the neural tube that constitute the embryonic brain. Also called encephalomere.
In all the branchial segments the same plan exists, each cardiac nerve belonging to that neuromere is strictly segmental.
(k) There are no masses of nerve-cells forming a ganglion (neuromere) in each somite.
