We have heard more or less of a Pan-Americanism, but we have never taken it seriously.
Yet this country has not been unappreciative of the larger aspects of Pan-Americanism.
Obviously, Pan-Americanism cannot aim at precise symmetry or theoretical consistency.
Pan-Americanism, however, was destined to remain largely a generous ideal.
If Pan-Americanism means anything at all, it means a social foundation in honor and intelligence and brotherhood.
What about Pan-Americanism, the sentiment or system which aims at uniting all the American republics?
