The Vulgate wrongly refers it to Zadok (filius Sadoc sacerdotis).
And have you not there with you Zadok and Abiathar the priests?
Zadok and Abiathar were the high-priests, who also superintended the music, to which David gave special attention.
After these came Zadok the high priest, with twenty-two captains of his kindred.
And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests?
I have come, said Zadok, and first let me cure thy smarts, O master.
And the watchman said, Me thinketh the running of the foremost is like the running of Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok.
We are now, said Zadok, above the treasure-house of which I spoke.
Tell me, Zadok, cried the young man; I command you to tell me, where is that wand of silver and gold?
Zadok led the way down the steps and the young man followed.
