geodetic longitude in Science

geodetic longitude

  1. The angular distance between the prime meridian and another meridian passing through a point on the Earth's surface. Because the vertex of the angle is the center of the Earth, the same as for geocentric longitude, the value is the same for both types of longitude. Compare geocentric longitude.
