thoracic iliocostal muscle
A muscle with origin from the medial side of the angles of the lower six ribs, with insertion to the angles of the upper six ribs, with nerve supply from the dorsal branches of the thoracic nerves, and whose action extends, abducts, and rotates the thoracic vertebrae.
