Allen, Woody

  1. A twentieth-century American comic author. Since the late 1960s, he has been directing films and acting in them, usually playing a neurotic, bookish New Yorker (see New York City). Some of his best-known films are Annie Hall, Manhattan, and Hannah and Her Sisters.
