What does skibidi mean?
If you’ve been within earshot of Generation Alpha lately, you’ve likely heard the word skibidi tossed around…a lot. Skibidi, which is nonsensical slang, can mean everything from “cool” to “bad” to “weird.” This brainrot term can essentially mean nothing or stand in place of many words (e.g., “What the skibidi?”). Skibidi commonly functions as an adjective, as in the phrase skibidi toilet (more on that later), or it can combine two slang terms, like skibidi rizz.
Where does skibidi come from?
Skibidi rose to popularity through @YasinCengiz, a TikTok creator known for belly dancing to songs. In April 2022, Cengiz posted a video set to the Biser King song “Dom Dom Yes Yes,” which features vocals widely heard as skibidi. After that video went viral, skibidi was used in remixes and memes across social platforms.
Then, in February 2023, YouTuber Alexey Gerasimov, aka @DaFuq!?Boom, created Skibidi Toilet, a series of computer-animated videos where human heads pop out of toilets and sing a mashup of Timbaland’s “Give It To Me” and King’s “Dom Dom Yes Yes.” The phrase skibidi toilet then went viral, proving it couldn’t be flushed away so easily in the age of internet meme culture.
Examples of skibidi
talking about slang, i have no idea what a skibidi toilet is, and honestly, i do not want to know i will assume its a bidet and leave it at that
skibidi toilet is kind of majestic and amazing at the same time as being terrifying, and totally dumb.
Who uses skibidi?
Members of Gen Alpha — born between 2010 and 2024 — frequently say skibidi, skibidi toilet, and other variations of skibidi, perplexing the adults around them. The word continues to take on new meanings and iterations as kids say it to each other and post about it on the internet.
