Where does come from?
The kiss: woman, woman emoji came out in 2015 with Unicode’s Emoji 2.0 set. With tech magic, it sequences together three preexisting emoji: the woman 👩, red heart ❤, and kiss mark 💋 emoji, bookended with another woman👩 emoji.
All platforms display two women facing each other with puckered lips and closed eyes—two woman kissing, as Apple calls the emoji. As with emoji smileys, the women are yellow. The appearance of their hair and of the heart are based on how those emoji individually look on each platform.
Who uses ?
The kiss: woman, woman emoji is used on social media and in text messages by two women in love.

It doesn’t have to be true love, though, as the kiss: woman, woman emoji can refer to two females kissing for whatever reason. Boy brains blown … we know.
Anna's first time kissing a girl onscreen is gonna be with Brittany. Just let that sink in.👩❤️💋👩

While generally used to illustrate romantic love between two women, the kiss: woman, woman emoji is sometimes used by close female friends who have a platonic affection toward each other.
