Superhero Inventor Camp: What’s Your Superpower?

Campers power up their storytelling skills by inventing their very own superhero based on their dream superpowers!

Ages 7-10 | Online Instructor-led Camp | Select Dates at Checkout

At Camp, Your Child Will:

– Become a “mad scientist” by creating their very own superhero (from name to nemesis!), boosting their vocabulary skills while collaborating with their peers.

– Compose and illustrate an original story featuring their superheroes, including setting, plot, and secret headquarters, of course. Heroes to the rescue!

– Act out their adventure! Campers will take center stage (or choose a less front-and-center role, if that’s their style), work together, and save the world!

Camp Fee Includes:

– Video recording of “Superheroes Save The Day” play, where campers show off their superhero, in addition to their newest superpowers: improved vocabulary, presentation skills, storytelling abilities, and illustrative chops.

– Dictionary.com certified instructor.

– 5 hours of direct instruction, plus 5 hours of creative skill-building activities, Mon–Fri the week of your choosing.

Movie Mashup Camp: When Worlds Collide

Campers supercharge their creative, critical thinking, and collaboration skills by developing an original movie plot!

At Camp, Your Child Will:

– “Cast” their favorite hero, either building one from scratch, or choosing a character from a major popular fiction genre. Warning: Imaginations will be stretched!

– Go “on location” by developing and describing the character’s backstory, costume, and central conflict, boosting their collaboration and problem-solving skills right from the director’s seat!

– Watch as worlds collide! Campers will “draft” a basic script, composing a plotline that thrusts all their characters into the same universe and towards an epic resolution of a shared struggle.

Camp Fee Includes:

– Video recording of the “Movie Mashup” play from their final session, where campers bring you into their mashed-up world and show off their robust universe, characters, and original plot.

– 5 hours of direct instruction, plus 5 hours of skill-building activities, Mon–Fri the week of your choosing.

College Readiness Camp: Ace Your Admissions Essay

Campers learn the ins and outs of writing stand out essays that are sure to impress.
