What does National Sex Day mean?
National Sex Day is an unofficial holiday celebrated on June 9th. It is dedicated to having sexual relations with someone else.
Where does National Sex Day come from?
National Sex Day is one of a number of unofficial holidays of unknown origin, but that doesn’t make it any less real or any less … enjoyable … to celebrate. As its name implies, National Sex Day is dedicated to having sex, getting down, knocking boots, enjoying an afternoon delight, and a host of other euphemisms for the big s-e-x. It is supposed to be celebrated by engaging in a sexual escapade with a partner, as opposed to alone, which is something done in May during National Masturbation Month (yes, it’s real).
The holiday is usually celebrated on June 9th, which is depicted numerically as 6/9, so it’s safe to say the creators include having oral sex with a partner on the list of ways to party on National Sex Day.
The party doesn’t have to stop when the day’s over, however. National Orgasm Day is celebrated during the summer, and we’d like to think it carries over to the rest of the year.
