Citations for selenology
Colleges, societies and clubs would be founded for the new knowledge; every human being, with opportunity and capacity, would become a specialist in selenography and selenology--a lunar expert, devoted to his science.

Origin of selenology
Selenology stems from the Greek word for "moon," selḗnē. In English, the combining form seleno- means "moon"; the combining form -logy is used in the names of sciences or bodies of knowledge.
