1. The younger brother of John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. Kennedy, a Democrat, has represented Massachusetts in the Senate since 1963 and is a leading liberal. He has been mentioned over the years as a possible candidate for president but has never been nominated. The Chappaquiddick incident has affected many people's view of him.
