Origin of enunciate
First recorded in 1615–25; from Latin ēnūntiātus (past participle of ēnūntiāre ), equivalent to ē- “from, out of” ( e- 1 ) + nūnti(us) “messenger, message” + -ātus suffix ( -ate 1 )
