everyone vs. everybody: What's the difference?

Everybody and everyone are synonyms that mean exactly the same thing. Everybody may be considered slightly informal compared to everyone, but the two words are commonly used interchangeably. Though they refer to multiple people, they both take singular verbs, as in Everybody/Everyone is ready.
