What does freak off mean?

Freak off is a term used in the federal sex trafficking trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs to describe alleged multi-day, drug-fueled group sex parties orchestrated by the hip-hop artist. According to court testimony, victims allege that Combs directed them to perform sexual acts with hired male sex workers.
Where does freak off come from?

According to witnesses and prosecutors, the phrase freak off started being used in the early 2000s as a reference to Combs’ parties. Prosecutors cited freak offs as part of a broader pattern of abuse, coercion, and racketeering. This term was central to the trial that concluded in July 2025, in which Combs was found guilty of transporting women for prostitution but acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.
