Explanation

An assorted group of things are different from each other. Assorted presents could include a gift certificate, a bike, and a stuffed animal. This is a word for things that aren't like each other but are in the same grouping anyway. Assorted books are on many different topics. Assorted candies are a bunch of different candies; a bag of Milky Ways can't be assorted. This word is all about difference and variety. An assorted group can also be described as miscellaneous, mixed, motley, or sundry.
