In the episode, Kim Kardashian decides to pose nude for Playboy magazine. Her mother and manager, Kris Jenner, keenly watches her daughter’s photoshoot, even snapping a picture while encouraging her: “You’re doing amazing, sweetie.”

Amazing as that moment was, you’re doing amazing, sweetie didn’t really take off until 2014 when BuzzFeed ran a humorous list of “Life Lessons” taught by Kris Jenner. Reaction images and GIFs featuring Jenner’s line then started appearing on social media as a way to hype someone up or give them a pat on the back when they’re not living their best life.

In 2017, a teenager notably dressed up as the meme for their high school’s “Meme Day.” It went viral, earning over 100,000 favorites. As ever, BuzzFeed was quick to pick up on the event, further boosting you’re doing amazing, sweetie.
